BADGE HOLDERS ONLY..

A rather special set of school photos..

Each photo needs to include at least one example of the old 'black and white' Winton and Moordown Infants and Juniors School badge which - if memory serves me right - looked something like this.....

Among all the school photo albums here on the site, there seem to be very few which show the old 'black and white' Winton and Moordown Infants and Juniors badge above.. It was often sewn onto caps, blazers and sports shirts..

We only have very few photos (so far!) which include an example of the badge ... and in some of those the badges are very tiny and rather 'smudged'....

This first one shows Geoffrey Giles, proudly displaying the badge on his smart blazer in the late 1940s...

---------

This next one is of the 1960 Junior football team, and has 2 badges... one on the cap of Tim Clark (the goalkeeper wearing the jumper) and one on the shirt of Arthur Roach, seen kneeling in the front row. (For the names of the others in the picture, just click on the photo to see who's who)

-------

The next one is of me - ready for my first day at school in January 1954.... by the gate at home in Edifred Rd

--------

And another Edifred Road resident! -- this one is of Alan Cuff on his first day - in 1956

--------

There must be others? -- 60 years ago that badge was everywhere around 'these parts'! ...If you do have any photos which include 'the badge' -- however tiny or smudged - do let us know...

(and if you have an example of the detail of the actual badge itself, I'd love to see it -- my version above was drawn from memory..)
