MOORDOWN HISTORY..

......may go back further than you think!

Although the modern history of our village extends for some 200 years or so, there is some evidence to suggest that the area may actually have  been inhabited for more like 2000 years! 

The notes, in the paragraphs shown in the window below, detail a fascinating history of our area, from the Bronze age onwards.

The notes on the history of the Moordown farms, with all their  family intrigues and squabbles, are a great read!
